Song: I wish

Artist: Skee Lo
Genre: Hip-hop

Characters:

Yet again a solo artist, a very charismatic and kind guy, not big on being charming but big on being “original and different”.

Compared artists:

Oliver Tree- style of music and clothing (90s), Stephen Brackett -physical looks, Skee Lo- attitude.

Setting:

Modern 90s, so no film camera, however the looks of 90s, almost Urban Outfitters.Would be filmed in different locations outside, preferably as little in the studio as possible.

Act:

It would be a narrative. Starts of with a radio turning on, a guy stands in different locations. “I wish I was a little bit taller”- the main guy standing next to a tall guy, “I wish I was a baller” - someone getting a ball into a basketball ring in the background, and etc. So as the main guy stands in one place the locations and his costume changes to the lyrics, and only during the chorus all the characters dance a very simple dance. A very 90s vibe just like the song itself. I would like to get some drone shots if possible but mainly still shots so the camera would have to be always on a tripod.

Visual effects:

Visual effects would be added later in Premiere Pro, a major effect that would be added on is the ‘scribble effect”, it would be added in small places to go with the narrative mainly during the course of the song. I have researched and tested myself the “scribble effect” and didn’t find it that difficult.

The main complication would be to find the right energetic actor who would be quite enthusiastic about the song and the process.
