Idea 3.

Complete performance. A big benefit with this song is that it's only 2 minutes long.

Characters:

A band of 4 or 5, “boy band”, the lead singer is a crazy and very energized guy, in general, a very energized band who are all involved with their music, so that not only the lead singer is the known one.

Compares artists:

Lead singer: Marilyn Manson (craziness wise) Jared Leto (in terms of energy and kindness), Band: young Foo Fighters (looks), Sabaton or Bloc Party (in terms of energy).

Setting:

Completely in the studio, a big focus on the costumes and makeup, just a black background with a white floor or maybe a completely white room so the whole focus is on the act.

Act:

A large number of different shots of instruments, the key in filming this idea would be a fantastic fisheye lens. Whenever the lead singer sings he keeps coming really close to the camera with the fisheye and lip-syncing the lyrics. I would like to pick out 3 different simple line makeups for the lead singers which would change with different shots of the singer.

Extra bit if just band performance isn’t enough:

Since the song is called Molotov which is a cocktail and a form of a bomb, I was thinking to get some slow motion shorts of smashing different things with a hammer, and I know we aren’t allowed to use liquids in our videos so it would be something which is more powdery than liquidy 

(but if that whole extra bit wouldn’t be possible I would like to get single shots of each member of the band with water guns)

Overall: 

4 people.

The most difficult thing with this idea is yet again finding the perfect energized and “crazy” guys who would be into this kind of music. I think it would be quite easy to find people who can play the instruments since we’re in such a talent filled school.
