Idea 1

Song: World on fire

Artist: Louis The Child
Genre: Indie/electronic

Characters:

This would be a woman of color who is a singular artist, who is quite soft and kind, however still has a very strong feminine image. I wouldn’t say her image is very sexual. She is very relaxed and constantly shows that she enjoys what she does and it brings her joy.

Compared artists:

Attitude: Sia, Singing style: Billie Eilish (but less sad), Looks: Jorja Smith.

Setting:

The general idea is to mix Noir like video with a bit of color so the primary color would be black and a very big focus on the lighting overall.

Act:

It would be a performance. The songs starts off with a clarinet (I think), therefore there would be one person whose face we can’t see in an entirely black room, as they are playing on the clarinet from different angles there is an old lamp swinging over nicely reflecting the light on the instrument. The problem with this is to find a guy who can play the clarinet. Then the piano comes in and we yet again only see hands of someone in a suit playing the piano. I am not exactly sure how what I am going to say next will be possible but it would be the main challenge, whenever the pianist presses the keys intact with the song, that specific key lights up.

When she starts singing along with piano it would switch to just her silhouette singing along.

Then either the lightbulb swings around her revealing her face or the lighting just goes on the front and that would be the main mid shot.

Since the song is quite calm for full shots I saw her dancing in the black room with colorful smoke around (meaning we would have to purchase these color smoke torches).

I had 2 ideas for her dancing, one being that it’s just her kind of swinging around the room with a bit of spinning to represent a soft character, soft but free woman, or it would be her standing in the middle and maximum 3 other women standing behind her performing a rehearsed  “thousand hand dance”, a much less complicated one with the colored smoke behind them. Since we can only see the main singer, she would be wearing black flowy pants and a black crop top, she wouldn’t move as the dance is happening behind her. But it all goes intact with the course

In the editing, it would be important to focus off too hard.

s on the order, so I would say for this video the filming of it and choosing a proper fitting actress is the main part. Editing shouldn’t come off too hard.
